My professional journey began during my university years at an engineering firm specializing in the restoration and adaptive reuse of historical buildings.
It was during this experience that I first engaged with the reality of the profession, which proved to be profoundly different from academia.
My role consisted of conducting on-site architectural surveys, initially drafted as freehand sketches, and subsequently digitizing them to produce the technical documentation required for official building permits.

PLACE
The intervention areas are situated within a context of exceptional beauty and high landscape value: the Manzolino Wildlife Oasis, nestled in the countryside near Castelfranco Emilia.
The territory is dotted with beautiful, historic rural estates - the traditional corti typical of this region - which originally formed self-contained settlement hubs. These compounds consisted of a main residential house paired with various functional outbuildings tailored to farming needs, such as open-front barns (tesa), stables, and granaries.
In their time, some of these estates also fulfilled a vital social function, serving as central economic anchors for the local community by hosting commercial activities like watermills and dairies.
It was a phase of intense experimentation, shaped by necessary mistakes and insights, which allowed me to truly get my hands dirty and grasp the tangible reality of our work.
Ultimately, this experience provided me with the foundational tools that today enable me to manage projects with confidence and expert awareness.
